The SAS academic team consists of some of the most talented and dedicated students our school has to offer. In its history, the program has a rich tradition of success, including multiple state final appearances, highlighted by the school’s first state championship in 1996. The 2004-2005 season boasted regional and conference championships and second place finishes at the Brain Strain, Knowledge Power, Biggie Brain, and sectional tournaments.

Without a doubt, the 2005-2006 team will surely add to the many successes and great tradition of the program. Without nearly a year-round season, team members must continuously demonstrate their determination to gain knowledge and recall what they’ve learned as quickly as possible.

I look forward to working with yet another selective group of students throughout the coming school year. It is my hope to assist every student in embodying the values of hard work, resiliency, and educational excellence that our team and school have come to represent.
